Maria graduated from the conducting department of the N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory and later completed a course in interior design at the Institute of Cultural Programs in St. Petersburg. In 2018, she opened her own workshop and subsequently registered her personal trademark, Tokeramika.

In her work, Maria explores the fragile process of co-creation between people. Through ceramics, she reflects on the ephemerality of our perceptions and misunderstandings, showing how individuals shape and complement each other’s subjective realities
in the contemporary world.

Personal emotions have no fixed measure: what one person remembers vividly and deeply may remain for another only a faint and distant trace. Fragments of paper, memories, and words — sealed by fire in porcelain, clay, and glass — become metaphors
for reconstructing a person’s inner state.
